Our story
We are a group of like minded people and who share a common interest and goal in setting up a community garden which is inclusive for the whole community. We are currently working with the City of Greater Geelong to establish a permanent community garden in Armstrong Creek.

The Edible Garden
In 2021, Newlands Developers generously allowed our group to use some of the land on the Warralily Coast Sales Office site. They also gifted us 10 wicking garden beds for community use.
With further community grants and much hard work by our community, we have been able to develop the Edible Garden site into what it is today. We thank the developer for allowing us to use this space until we have a more permanent home.
Come to our weekly drop in sessions:
-
Tuesdays and Saturdays, 2:00pm - 3:00pm
No bookings required just turn up with a smile and a pair of gardening gloves!

Bush Tucker Garden
Since 2019, our group has been developing garden beds at
Booln Booln Cultural Centre (previously Narana), with a focus on bush tucker and native plants.
We are thankful to the community at Booln Booln Cultural Centre for allowing us to feel at home. We have monthly working bees held on Saturday mornings, all are very welcome to come and join us. Contact us for more info.
Next dates 3 May 2025 and 24 May 2025
A vision grows
In 2019, members of this group started cultivating the idea of creating a sense of community pride and connectivity through gardening activities. Our vision was to establish a Community Garden in Armstrong Creek to promote health and wellbeing, sustainable living and a means to develop a strong, connected community across all age groups and abilities.
From humble beginnings we have now have an established Edible Garden site in Armstrong Creek where members of the community can join in on our drop in gardening and seed sessions. We also have a group that has a passion for learning about and growing bush tucker.
